Welcome to my digital portfolio. Thank you for being here. I am a multifaceted artist living in Buffalo NY. I do everything with my hands: Hair, makeup, barista, painting, sewing, designing, pouring acrylic resin, making watercolor and other botanical art forms. As the founder & owner of Hi-Lites Salon & Art Gallery in Buffalo NY, I offer professional salon services and accessible gallery representation for artists of all levels.

Statement:
My work is inspired by the following process: a request -> I do something with my hands -> you leave happy.

Most portraits reflect self improvement: a single woman working on herself. My appreciation of the figure is evident through representation and celebration of realistic curves & bodies. The solitude experienced by an only child: a solo black female reflects in many paintings as a mirror of my subconscious reality. There are some journeys you can only take alone. And the process is beautiful and fulfilling.

Mission:

I wish for viewers to feel joy and get lost within the peaceful elements and vibrant colors of my collection. I want women to identify with the bodies and vulnerable stories told in my work, then feel empowered to live and create authentically.

I am inspired by my experience as a black woman creating in-between the physical and unseen world. Birthing cosmic creativity as I find solace in nature & the sky. I am inspired by women, movement, and the metaphysical.
